Here it is, first snowstorm as innkeeper. I still don't think that I have absorbed all that is happening. I am having the time of my life and I describe this venture as being as exciting as giving birth-yes, that was my lifes highlights-my two daughters.

Dianne -- the snow is lovely. Why don't you let us all know when there's enough for cross-country skiing!

Lenore, Thank you for writing. I will be skiing at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens tomorrow.
There will be snowshoeing around these parts also.

Dianne,

I loved staying at your Inn, I felt like I was home and thats a nice feeling being so far away from my home. Thank you for your gracious hospitality and exquisite foods. See you next season. Good luck with your exciting new ventures !! :)

Cross Country skiing at the Gardens today-the snow was great, plenty of it for so early in the season.
They had a fire going in the fireplace in the visitors center, hot chocolate, cider, cookies. Only MaryAnn and I were skiing. I think it just hasn't taken off yet. Well, I'll go back for a couple of hours tomorrow between check outs/in.
The Gardens is going to be a great place to play this winter.

Nordic Skiing at the Botanical Gardens-you can go to their website to check see the schedule. As it is now, we have more snow coming over the weekend, what a place to be when it is snowing! You can take a leisurely ski at the Gardens and then come back to the Inn for sitting in a wingback by the fireplace, warm and cozy-bring your favorite slippers and fleece!
Apre-ski is amazing here at the Inn.
You never know when I may have my homemade real Texas (no beans) chili in the crock or a batch of cookies coming out of the oven.
Just around the bend is an oyster farm open this winter-visit the farm and bring some Maine oysters back to your room on the halfshell!
There are a lot of hidden local restaurants and shops that are open this winter for you to discover.
There are some secret specials planned here at the Inn through the winter if I have a minimum of 6 people for a 2 night stay. That's 6 good friends, or only 3 couples!
